If you’d like to enjoy an extensive meal with your partner, friends or family in or next to your holiday home, then a tabletop grill or barbecue package is just what you need! You can choose from various meat, fish or vegetarian packages, accompanied of course by delicious sauces, salads, side dishes, and a baguette with herb butter. We change the composition of the packages every season. These complete packages include a barbecue or tabletop grill and are delivered to your holiday home. There’s no cleaning up afterwards either. You enjoy a delicious meal, and we do the dishes!
Hire a bike or mountain bike at the park
A trip through Drents-Friese Wold National Park is unmissable during your every stay at Summio Bungalowpark Drents-Friese Wold National Park! If you fancy going out for the day, on a bike or mountain bike, hire one at the park. We have various types of bikes for hire: 7 gears, e-bikes, professional mountain bikes and children’s bikes. We also hire standard tandems, parent-child tandems, cargo bike and go-karts. Just the thing for more holiday fun!
Bike wash facilities
After enjoying a challenging ride through the stunning forest, you might find your bike could do with a clean. No worries, use the park’s free ATB bike wash facilities where you can easily get your bike back into pristine condition. If you hire a bike from the bike hire service at the park, we’ll clean it for you!
Sporting options for an active holiday
There is plenty to do at Summio Bungalowpark Het Drentse Wold if you’d like an active holiday! Play a game of table tennis or pétanque, or a challenge each other to a game on the football pitch. And how about an exciting volleyball tournament on the volleyball court with the whole family? There are also numerous playgrounds for our youngest guests, where they can play for hours to their hearts’ content with their new holiday friends. Good to know, there’s an air trampoline at the park!

Treat yourself with the bread rolls and breakfast service at Summio Bungalowpark Het Drentse Wold! Enjoy fresh produce from the local baker and butcher every morning*. Get your day off to a flying start with a croissant or fruit and nut roll, take away a tasty pizza bread or Dutch sugar bread for a picnic in the forest, and get a nice fresh baguette to accompany your evening dinner. You can also order delicious pastries and fresh cakes, such as a fruit tart or sugary sultana cake (‘Boerenjongensrondo’). For a regional specialty, we highly recommend a ‘Drentse Stoet’ or ‘Drentse Heidekoek’!

Take a swim in the outdoor swimming pool
If you fancy swimming some laps or just playing in the water, Bosbad Hoogersmilde outdoor swimming pool opposite the bungalow park is the ideal place. You can use it for free during your stay. The swimming pool has a slide and various play options for children, so water fun is guaranteed!
The swimming pool is open from the end of May to the end of August.
Discover the Adventure Trail
The Hoogersmilde Adventure Trail starts right in front of Summio Bungalowpark Het Drentse Wold. This 2.5-km hiking trail takes you through the woods, over the heath and past the hills of Hoogersmilde. On the way, you will encounter 10 adventurous objects where children can play. Discover the beautiful views and enjoy the peace in this beautiful, raised bog area.
