Kameleon Terherne is a fun attraction inspired by the popular Dutch series of children's book 'De Kameleon' and is only a 4-minute walk from Summio Havenresort Terherne. This adventurous family park transports you to the world of the twin brothers Hielke and Sietse Klinkhamer, where you can look around the 'Kameleon' boat, admire historic steam engines and even ride on an old-fashioned 'skûtsje', a Frisian sailing boat. Summio Havenresort Terherne is the ideal base for water sports! The beautiful Sneekermeer is only 1,300 metres from the holiday park. In summer, the famous Sneekweek is a real crowd puller; this is the most famous inland water sailing event in the Netherlands with sporting competitions, music and fun. The Skûtsjesilen is also highly recommended. This traditional sailing competition takes place in the summer holiday, where historic skûtsjes compete for the win on the Frisian lakes.
